Covfefe

Covfefe documentation

How Covfefe delivers Trump's Truth Social posts, and how to use the Telegram bot, webhooks, and automations built on them.

Covfefe watches @realDonaldTrump on Truth Social and tells you about every new post within seconds. It then adds a market-relevance score, topics, named companies and countries, a plain-English summary, and a description of any image or video.

How an alert arrives

Every post goes through the same stages:

  1. Detection. Covfefe picks up new posts within seconds of them going public on Truth Social.
  2. The alert (post.created). Covfefe sends it within about a second of detection. It includes the full post text, a link, and any media.
  3. The score (post.enriched). About 2 seconds later, Covfefe adds its automated relevance score (0–10), topics, entities, a one-line summary, and a description of any images. In Telegram, the original message updates in place.
  4. Video follow-up. Video posts usually arrive before Truth Social has made their preview frame. Covfefe keeps watching, and when the frame appears it scores the post again with it. Telegram messages update, webhooks receive a second post.enriched, and filtered-out alerts are delivered if the new score clears your filter.

If Covfefe ever picks up a post late (for example after an outage), the alert is marked delayed rather than passed off as fresh.

Post types

Every post has a type:

Type Meaning
text Text only
image Has at least one image (and no video)
video Has a video, with or without text
retruth A ReTruth of someone else's post

What the relevance score is

A 0–10 estimate, generated by an AI model, of how likely a post is to move markets in the next trading session. 0–2 is personal attacks, endorsements and memes; 6–8 is concrete policy signals like tariffs, sanctions, or named companies; 9–10 is explicit, immediate, market-wide action. It is context, not a forecast, and Covfefe is not investment advice.
